Sometimes, you just look like a creepy stalker. I don't know why I have such large dark circles in this picture. But hey, this is the best picture out of the bunch.

The sweater in this picture is one of the things that I just can't throw away. I don't even remember when my mom brought it for me. Middle school? I remember that first, I wore it because I had no idea what looked good. Then I stopped wearing it at all costs. Then, one day, I didn't do my laundry and I wore it again--only to realize that it was incredibly short. Then I discovered layering and ... I wear it again now.

This is why I have clothes from FOREVER ago. I keep thinking that I'll do something amazing with it in the future.

What is your clothing turnover ratio?

  1. I have sooo many clothes that I can't just throw out... sometimes I'll even go as far as putting them in a bag to be taken to goodwill, but I just leave the bag at my parents' house and when I come back to visit a few months later I find things in there that I decide to start wearing again.. it's ridiculous. So I definitely feel ya about the middle school sweater! haha :)

  2. oh but you look just lovely in that photo, i love the boots and the warm color, I had a bag in that shade once, but it's torn now </3 and great sweater!

  3. Sweater + boots + bag = super cute! I have a horrible turnover rate - I still have high school stuff in my closet (but I'm much older than you LOL).

  4. Nice outfit!

  5. ahaha okay when i find my old sweaters i always think the same thing... was it always this short on me and i was cool with it? love your sweater on you! the color is awesome. and i love your boots! xoxo

  6. Ah, good question. I used to dress very plainly (t-shirts mostly) and kept things till they fell apart. A couple of years ago I got tired of my non-style and started replacing almost my entire wardrobe with better clothes. Now I'm getting tired of some of the new things and trying to decide should I keep them or not? I probably should keep. I like your sweater!

  7. i'm totally like that with my clothes!! Also, cause i always make sure to buy staple pieces that I know have a lifespan of at least 2-3 years (or at least i try to)

  8. i totally can't let go of my clothes for the same reason. years later i end up wearing it again. :) this sweater looks really cute on you!

    cute & little

  9. lovely outfit, you don't want to see my closet... it's full of old stuff I don't want to throw away ;)

  10. I have a couple of T-shirt from junior high that I still wear. I can still fit into them. And I'm 22 years old.
    P.S. I want your boots.

  11. I keep clothes for a long time too. Then one day I will remember about them in the back of my closet. I love those days :)

  12. oh ive learned to never throw anything out! you can also tear it apart and make it into something else or you never know when you'll fall in love with the item again :) and my skirt? girl, i found it at the thrift store for $6 so if you have patient and stamina, hunt for it in your local thrift stores ;) good luck babe! p.s youre so cute!

  13. well done! we have a lot of clothes in our wardrobe without use and if we look a bit, we can find cool outfits :D

  16. I love your outfit. That sweater still looks brand new especially with the way you layered it. I would never have known it was from Middle School. And the way you paired it up with those boots are fabulous. I love it.
