Four Week Challenge: Formality

I love this skirt. I really didn't realize it until I looked at this picture and my picture from my first Professionalism Tip post, but I'm wearing the same skirt!

Sweater: Mossimo from Target (12.60)
Tights: Last Chance, unknown brand (1.00)
Belt: Forever 21 (Came with another shirt)
Skirt: 6 Degrees (Unknown)
Heels: Dexter by Payless (22.99)

This outfit is part of my participation in Peachy Keen's Four Week Challenge. I choose formality as the inspiration for the second week. For my other posts, see one, two, and three!

I also wanted to tell you guys about something random and sweet. My little brother has swim practice at a pool where I live. The other day, since it was convenient for me and inconvenient for my parents, I picked him up. He gave me a leftover cakepop as a gift. I thought he was so sweet and considerate. My little boy is growing up ... he's turning 13 in June! Kids grow up so fast.

  1. The skirt is indeed gorgeous! :)
Aww, that was really sweet of him. My brother is almost turning 15 and he is also like that. He is always very thoughtful. Anyway, I guess we are just lucky because most of the boys aren't that way.

  2. wow i love that skirt :)

  3. Awe, what a sweet little gesture your brother did! My sister and I are ten years apart, and I hope that someday we may have a relationship like that when she grows up!

I just love your skirt! The shape is just lovely :D

  4. I love the outfit :) I have that belt too! It comes in so handy when you need a thick belt sometimes ;)

  5. Thanks for dropping by my blog. :)

Love the pleated detail of the skirt, it's edgy and formal at the same time.

  10. Aw, what a sweet little brother! I hope my kids have a good relationship like you and your brother do :) I love that draping on the skirt!

I forgot to tell you this - if you wind up getting the Loreal eyeliner, make sure you use a different eyeliner brush - the brush that comes with it is really coarse and ouchy on my eyelids. I like the Lancome Eyeliner brush - it's very precise and soft. I wound up getting mine for $8 at the outlet mall.

  11. Awwww, your brother is adorable!!!!

This skirt is magical. It's like the perfect skirt that every girl should own. Totally jealous!

  13. I can see why you'd wear it lots- I LOVE that skirt. the texture and how it falls is so pretty. And uhm, how was I not following you before? Oh, well, fixed that problem now..

  14. Very cute skirt. You do formality much better than I do! I was always one for extremely bold colours and big Joan Crawford shoulders in the office.

Your little brother is a treasure! Thanks for putting a smile on my face.

  15. Your tulip skirt is so pretty, and it looks great belted!
