ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen

I got this little doohicky from target, after peeling off my nail polish and ruining my cuticles. Although this is by no means a miracle product, it's not bad for a dollar.

As you can see, it says that it has Avocado and Almond Oils. It also has vitamins E, A, and C.

The product was relatively easy to use. Once you took the cap off, this is what you saw.

That's a hard nub that dispenses product at a good rate. It's strong enough for you to really push your cuticles back and make it a multipurpose tool.

As for its effectiveness, I think it works. My nails are stronger and I do try to use it regularly.

  1. what an interesting product!

a few years back, i got something just like this in a nail polish kit i got for christmas. the only difference was that it contained nail polish remover instead of cuticle oil. i tried it a few times... but it sucked. so, i guess you could say that i've always been skeptical of pen-like packaging like this.

glad to see it works pretty decently for you! :)

  2. Interesting! And for $1, definitely not a bad item to just try out - I'll have to keep my eye out for this (I always have cuticle issues).

  3. ooo looks good. wish we had a target here

  4. my cuticles have been struggling lately and need some attention, but on targets up here in canada. for a dollar its well worth it.

  5. thx for your comment on my blog...

OPI and essie nail polishes are only in stores very expensive. But you can buy these brands via ebay.com for 5€ / 5,50$
I think this price is ok for a great nail polish..isn't it?:)

  7. interesting, my cuticles are usually pretty well in tact but now I know what to turn to when the dry weather comes around!

  8. I've never done anything to my cuticles, so I don't have much to say about this product, but it does look nourishing.

  9. My cuticles get really dry in the winter--I'll have to keep an eye out for this on my next Target trip.

  10. That looks interesting, I'll have to check it out! I never heard of it til now :)

  11. I've never used anything like that before! Sounds like a great product for nails! xoxoxoo

  12. i gotta try this! only $1!!! elf often has some good stuff, but then sometimes they also have pretty junky stuff. so glad to hear you tested it and like it!

  13. How very interesting...I've never heard or seen such a thing! It's such a clever and useful device and I can't believe it's so cheap! I might have to go to my local Target and check them out! :)

  14. I have stupid cuticles that grow way too much and too quickly. They're annoying. I want them gone.

  15. OK, I am totally going to try this. I pick at my dry cuticles way too much.

  16. I have something similar and used it a few times but I could never remove a lot of cuticles until I 'found out' that I luckily don't have much to work with..pheeew :D

  17. interesting, should try it! Check out my blog. :)

  18. That looks interesting! :) I used to always peel my cuticles, bad habit..

  19. For a dollar that's a really good deal. I actually just bought some elf makeup this past weekend.

  20. I tried using this before, and like you said, though it's not AMAZING, it's pretty good for being only a dollar. I love that the tip is pretty stiff and I can push my cuticles effectively while moisturizing my nails.

  22. I like what you wrote about this product. I'm going to try it.

  23. SWEATshirtDRESSshirt - I think it may just be because you can see remover not working and oil is more... of an after effect.

SkiBunny - I actually try not to buy polish for more than a dollar...

Diana- Ouch! That would hurt a ton.

laura - I found the fact that it had two uses most appealing.
