My Life is Average Mondays: Reflection

weheartit

I have to admit that I really miss writing down my thoughts. I was readying my old livejournal entries and I realized that while no one else might be interested, I was. To be honest, I enjoy writing down my mundane life issues. Years later, I like to re-read that much more than I care about what I wore or where I ate. It's just something about the way I write. It's very raw. Very rambly. Every time I read it, I can hear my own voice--just years younger. I suppose that's what I'm trying to do here. I generally don't enjoy forming complete thoughts. And I think in fragments.

This is more for me than is it for my readers.

Sorry. Let me have a moment.

  1. I had heaps of diaries..I stopped after i left school..i think i gave up because it hurt to look back and read those things about how i felt about things..some incidents are amusing..but funny enough i have become so guarded now i don't like putting down what i truly feel and leave a paper trail for anyone else to find.

    1. Even when I read entries where I'm upset, I just think it's incredibly funny.

  2. I only had a journal for a little while. So easy to get lazy

  3. I have been journaling since I was in the second grade. I can't help it -- I just love writing down everything that happens during the day and everything I think. It helps me work through problems. Since I have gotten (much!) busier, it is more difficult to find time, but I still do it a couple of times every few weeks. It's important to me.

  4. Is fabulous to have a place to write our personal ideas :) But I dont like to re-read them, I never learn from my old mistakes!

Hey! about my pictures. I didn't do anything special, try with: pixrl-o-matic (or something like that) a great editor on line with funny effects.

    See you.

    1. It's not that I learn from my old mistakes as much as I realize how far I've come.

Thanks for the hint about the photo editor!

  5. Keep a little notebook and start writing again! Just thoughts or funny stories or things you observe. It'll make that "Aww, I miss writing" feeling go away without a whole lot of effort. Helps me a lot!

  6. Aw that's cool that you go re-read what you wrote before. Enjoy your moment :) I used to keep a journal, but I guess with my blog, I'm using it as an outlet for some of my thoughts.

  8. You're so right! I think people tend to think it's pretentious to write blogs and journals and stuff, but there shouldn't be anything wrong with wanting to express ideas and be heard. :)

  9. I love writing down my thoughts as well. And similar to you, I try to do that on my blog... but then again, I feel obligated to censor it a little bit. You should start writing on your live journal again if you haven't already! Or be like Taylor Swift and get a real journal!

  11. I do the same Aki! Before I had a "fashion" blog, I created a blog for my personal thoughts and experiences. I've also kept journals in the past. It's a great way to express how you're feeling, what you're going through and reflecting. It's healthy!

  14. I totally understand! I used to journal daily throughout highschool then just stopped. Ill always cheerish my diarys though and think when or if I have kids, girls, I can show them parts of it when they get to the same age to show that I went through the exact same things they are - boys, bitch fights and excitement over everything. I have actually just started journalling again and love it. Its just for me but it off loads so much and re defines goals and positive things for me, you should start writing again :)

    1. Unfortunately, that's not something I wrote.

I think it's unfortunate that you can't share everything on your blog. I feel that way too.

  17. Sometimes I just keep hitting "You might also like" (Linkwithin) on my blog and find myself reading old blog posts. I love when I walk away from it thinking...man there is some great stuff on my blog!
