I'm not as good as sewing as I thought.

I was pretty darn excited when I spotted this shirt at Dillards. It was on sale for 8 bucks. The reason? The little ribbons on the back had become loose and detached. But I just decided I was going to be one of those badass DIYers and sew it back on.

Um. No. My sewing looks like crap.

Despite the fact that the sewing didn't work out as planned, I thought the material of the shirt was still a high quality and decided to wear it anyways. There's no reason eight dollars should go to waste, right?

  1. I think it just takes some practice. Personally my sewing skills are zip, though, so I couldn't say for sure. I have so many things that I got planning to alter/reconstruct and here I am still mulling it over a decade later for some pieces

  7. Sometimes the outcome is not what we expect right? Sometimes I also believed that in DIYing something it'll come out great but then... :P Anyway you can still wear it at home ^^ It's cute on you nevertheless :)

  20. Ah ha, I can't sew worth a darn either! Buttons are about as much as I do, mostly because you can't see my workmanship!
