It's not easy wearing green!

When I was in high school, green became my favorite color. I had green cardigans, shirts, everything. At a certain point, I felt like 30% of my closet was green.

Then, a few weeks ago, I discovered that kelly green was a color. Bloggers are so enabling when they all talk about the same few trends! I knew that green wasn't amazing on me (it makes me look green since I'm olive toned), but I still had to get a green polish. So here we are with Sinful Color's exotic green, purchased during a half off sale, of course! It stinks that this isn't work appropriate, but I think I'll be wearing this during the school year!

  1. I'm lucky to be at a job where green is work appropriate (or at least they don't tell me to knock it off) I currently have on a matte light-ish green (not going to lie, it kind of looks like throw-up) With my red hair, I tend to steer clear of kelly green (or any shamrock-y green)

  2. I work in a corporate office (Fortune 100 company) but I never, ever think of nail polish as appropriate or inappropriate. I feel like my nails are the one thing I get to wear however I want to work - today I'm wearing a neon yellow polish, a light-wash denim jacket paired with black slacks and a black tee, black flats and flowers in my hair. I try to keep my own style front and center, even at work. Granted, I'm not an exec - I'm the facility manager - but I deal with Suits all day.

    1. I'm not an exec either, but you know what they say... "Dress for the position you want, not the position you're in."

I'm in a business that deals with clients so I think that every bit counts towards appearance. Especially because I'm right out of college, I don't want to have more of an inexperienced youthful look than I have to.

  5. Wow, my favorite color is green too! You're right, though, no matter how much you like green, you can't really wear it without looking like a big stupid tree or lime! Love this nail polish! I've never thought of wearing green nail polish before, so now I want to try some out!

    1. I think I ruined it a little for myself by wearing it so much.

  8. Blue was my colour! Same as you, I had blue EVERYTHING. Not anymore, but it's still my favourite colour. I've tried green polish before, and I didn't think it looked all that great on me, but I do think it works ok on you!

    1. Thanks! I think green may look worse on me when I wear a huge green shirt or something.
