I don't love this outfit.

But the reason I HAD to share it is because my hands look like claws in the shadow.

Shirt: H&M (14.36)
Cardigan: H&M (23.96)
Skirt: The Limited (29.94)
Shoes: Macy's (~ 35)

I don't know what my hands were doing that that in the first place.

I do plenty of silly things but I really don't think that my mother gives me the benefit of the doubt sometimes. I think she was giving me a foundation that was a gift with purchase the other day, and I tested the color on the back of my hand. My mother gives me a look and tells me that it's not for my hand. It was a classic moment where she thought I was silly and didn't know anything about makeup. The irony.

Back to the outfit! There's one upsetting thing about this cardigan ! I thought it was quite expensive when I purchased it but it ended up tearing the first time I washed it. I hate it when that happens!

  2. Haha they do look like claws in the shadows. Your mom probably thought it was weird because swatching things on the back of your hand is a blogger's habit. Normal people don't see that as normal, but because we blog it's become a habit and normal for us! I could only imagine what's going through my parent's head when they go through my camera to see 50 shots of a mascara or nail polish bottle. Lol they must think 'my daughter has way too much time on her hands.'

    1. Is it? I remember being told when I first started to wear makeup that the skin on the back of your hand is the same shade as the skin on your face.

Didn't know it was a blogger's habit. Makes more sense now.

  3. Haha! You and your mom sounds like me and my mom. :)

And sorry to hear your cardigan tore! It's the worst when something is expensive, and the quality doesn't match up to its price.

  4. I was having a really bad day today and you made me laugh twice (lobster claws and hand foundation) So thank you. That said, I don't think this outfit is bad at all. Sucks about the cardigan ripping, though. I had one from Old Navy do the same thing, huge hole in the chestal area for me. Luckily mine was on super sale, so it wasn't a huge monetary loss.

  12. You should totally take the cardigan back. Not fair to pay for a product that falls apart on the first day.

  14. Haha your mum is too cute! But does she swipe testers on her face, then? I can never bring myself to do that considering how manky some of the testers are.
    And cute claw-like shadow! :D

    1. I don't think she swipes testers at all! She doesn't really wear makeup.

  19. I hate it when clothes don't work out the way you think they will -- after you have already bought them. I'm sure you will figure something out with the cardigan. Hey, at least you are rocking the monster claws. That's pretty cool.

  22. Woah the shadows do look like claws, that's pretty cool :P And hahaha I had a similar thing happen to me about the putting foundation on hand first except it was the other way around. My mom gave me a funny look when I just put the foundation on my face before I tried it out on my hand.
