The Tale of Kale

I hated kale at first. I heard about how it was SUCH a delicious and healthy vegetable so I had to try it. I tried it in a salad. The leaf was so hard that I felt like I couldn't chew it.

Then, I discovered how amazing it was in soups when I tried out this recipe.

I pretty much love kale this way now. I discovered that before, I got my kale from a pre-prepared bag and it wasn't soft. These leaves, especially after being cooked in soup, add so much texture. It's my favorite way of eating kale now.

  1. I was never a kale fan either. But after been introduced to kale chips(just put them on a cookie sheet in the oven, sprinkle with olive oil and salt. Bake, that's it), I'm hooked. What a healthier alternative to regular chips!

  2. I don't think I've ever had kale before, but I'm not sure. That's kind of sad. Seems like it would be good in soup, though. The baked with olive oil and salt thing sounds good, too. Everything is better baked with a little olive oil and salt. Well, maybe not vanilla ice cream...

  12. Oh my gosh, when I first tried Kale, I loved it! They DO add so much texture. And when seeped in some really awesome sauce, wow they taste so good. Ever try Kale chips? I want to.

And thanks for the article you gave me! Very interesting. I agree economically knockoffs probably do help, and they keep the creative minds going. But a lot of things can be taken from an economic perspective. Considering fashion as an art and something that requires and evokes emotion, knockoffs just don't stack up. In the end, there's so many views on this, so certainly, mine hardly makes a difference haha!
