Coffee Talk: A Cup for Keeping Clean

1. Do you drink the milk after eating cereal or do you dump it out?
I always finish off the milk. What I actually always try to do is pour my cereal in first then pour in my milk just so it covers my cereal. That way, I'm not left with too much milk at the end.

2. Do you share drinks/food?
Sharing is caring, am I right? I always love to try foods so I coordinate my restaurant orders with who ever I'm dining with and we switch and swap. It's always been the custom in my family too.  This stemmed from having communal Chinese dishes, but we translated it to American food as well. I've seen people stare you down for simply asking for a fry... and I can't understand that.

3. How often do you replace your toothbrush?
Erm. I do replace it, if you must know. Somewhere between at least every year and not often enough.

4. How often do you wash your hair?
Every other day or every two days, depending on exercise and how hot it is outside.

5. Do you use a dishwasher or do you hand wash your dishes?
Hand wash! It was the way I grew up though we always had a dishwasher. It's funny to consider how my parents (and myself, I guess) think that if you just stick the dishes in the dishwasher, they won't really get clean. I've heard of my friends saying just the opposite. If you hand wash them, how can you expect them to be clean?

  1. It's weird that I grew up having to hand wash all my dishes, and now I absolutely detest it, so I dishwash all the way! haha

    1. You're right, I guess that could have gone one of two ways!

  2. 1. I do not drink my post-cereal milk. I'm turned off of the idea because I get grossed out when I hear/ see other people doing it. So while the act of actually drinking the milk doesn't bother me, knowing what it sounds/ looks like does.

    2. I love sharing foods! It's great when both people like both foods because then you can mix-n-match and you have more options. Also, I love eating.

    3. Ugh, this is embarrassing. I replace it, like, almost never. Which is crazy because I get a new toothbrush from my dentist every 6 months. I'm just lazy about it.

    4. I try to wash my hair every other day because I know it's better for it. But I really prefer washing it every day. Ahhhh, fresh clean hair...

    5. We use the dishwasher unless it's a specialty dish. Ain't nobody got time for hand-washing!

    1. Hey, if you visit your dentist every six months, that's pretty good!

  3. Haha, I'm about with you on the toothbrush thing (except this last one will be replaced asap because it was a piece of junk and is already all splayed out and I've only had it a couple of weeks)

I also am with you on the dishes thing. Dishwashers make me nervous, I just don't trust them to clean my things. I clean them to my amount of clean and that's what I want. If that's not really clean, who knows. Good enough for me, though!

  4. huh...interesting interview? question? haha
I agree that it's probably Asian culture to just share food. Although I'm an only child and I'm soo bad at sharing. haha must be more asian >.<

  9. I feel like once you get your toothbrush broken in that's when they want you to change it ... then it's like grrrr until you get it back to being broken in and then repeat horrible cycle. I think if you clean it you can keep it. Like stick it in the microwave for a few seconds to kill the germs after you are sick and you're golden to keep using it.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Also, did you know that you are a no-reply blogger?

    1. That's a pretty good idea. I do not like the idea that I have to keep breaking them in, but mouth-health is super important.

  10. You know, my parents are completely like that about dishwashers too. I was very easily converted to using the dishwasher though - it's so easy!

  13. I wash my hair weekly in the winter! I know that sounds gross but otherwise I'd have frizzy dry hair

  14. This might be gross but I was my hair everyda Or every other day depending how the day went, and if I'm stayin home to study on the weekend; I wash Thursday and wait till Sunday to wash. I feel like my hair needs a BREAK from all the washing and drying.

I feel that the dish washer doesn't clean as well as hand washing. Dish washer also uses more water and raises my water bill. Hand wash all the way. It's the way I grew up. Just wear the yellow gloves to minimize hand drying.
