My First Pair of Corso Como Heels!

I've talked about the Corso Como Del Pumps before. I've obsessed over them for many many months. Now, I finally got them!

I got a pair of Del Pumps in Nude. Had to order this online because it's one of the few places where I saw nude shoes that were not patent. I had tried on the sizes in store and determined that a 7 1/2 was appropriate.

At first, I was a bit surprised by the color. it's not really noticeable in these photos, but some parts of the shoe are darker than other parts. When I read the pamphlet,  it said that these discolorations were normal as these shoes are made from real leather. I've never had real leather before, so I don't know any better.

One of the most disappointing things is that due to sizing, on my smaller foot, the back end of the shoe rubs against my heel. I may have to find a filler of some sort so that my foot doesn't constantly slip out.

The bottom of the shoe, of course, is incredibly comfortable. They aren't kidding when they claim that there is four layers of padding. However, this padding doesn't seem to stick to the bottom of the shoe. When I took my foot out of it one night, a part of the padding loosened. I hope this isn't indicative of a future problem.

Overall, I still absolutely love the shape and look of the shoe. I'm holding off judgement on its comfort because I believe I still need to break it in. As to quality, I hope that shoes like this last me a long time... but I won't know until later!

What's your go-to brand for pumps?

  4. These are pretty! I recommend moleskin on your heel until you break the shoes in. Hopefully they won't always rub.

  9. Yay! So happy for you. Yes, price is high but sometimes it's worth it. Most pumps are not as comfortable.

Nude is a great choice. Let's see you model them!

  16. Oh man I've always wanted a good pair of nude pumps. They always strike me as a very versatile piece! Breaking in heels is always the trickiest part. I've become a bit more of a "wedge" person, but my favorite pumps are by Steve Madden and Aldo. I hope you'll show us how you style them! :)

    1. I've grown very in love with wedges too. However, for those taller heights, I still prefer heels over wedges.

  17. The pumps look so pretty but boo about the small issues with it! Hopefully they can all be resolved so you can wear these pumps comfortably! I also had a problem with one of my heels where the "padding" or the part where your feet rests on got loose and completely came off ><

  21. I like the color...nude is a must have, but I have stopped buying pumps as it is not necessity for my work. So I don't really know which pumps brand is comfortable. I do like Jessica Simpsons for comfort even they look incredible.

  23. Nice review on this brand, hopefully it works out for you. For me my go to brand is Steve Madden. It's the only shoe company where I can order offline and I know it will fit me perfectly. :)

  29. My favourite pumps that I found on SALE were from Bally - they're the best and have held up despite all the wear and tear I take them through

  30. Get yourself some heel inserts and maybe some padding for the inside too. A shame that the padding keeps coming off. Hope they break-in well! I'm not a pump person. I get most of my flats from Aldo and try to buy leather when possible.
