Link Up: Times of Change

It's that time again, when I share some links with you of stuff I've really liked.

In additional to changing weather (I can't believe it's still snowing in some of your areas!?!) I'm also going through a change in my life from student to working adult. That's what I'm really excited about and nervous about this month.

5 Weird Things That Happen in your 20s - I can't sleep in like I used to! Anyone else? When I was in high school, I loved sleeping in until noon or later on the weekends. Now, I have trouble sleeping past ten.

9 Style Details People Notice - I definitely need to make sure that sleeves and pants fit me!

Weird Things You Can Make in Your Coffee Maker - I'm not sure if you would want to do this, but you can make things like chicken, fish and noodles in your coffee maker!

Labels - The Asian/American Divide - A beautiful short film about how "FOBs" and "ABCs" label each other. This film hit on so many of the issues I had growing up and made me cry.

Is It Ever Okay to Jugde Our Friends' Relationships?  - Because I know I do it sometimes. In fact, I've bonded with some friends by judging some other friends' relationships.

  1. I remember making the transition from student to working adult a couple of years ago! I was nervous, excited and a little bit of everything in between. It's so hard to anticipate what any one person making that transition will experience, but if you go into it with a sense of adventure and willingness to learn I think you'll benefit a lot from it. I'm making the transition out of the workforce into grad school and I feel the same emotions (maybe a little differently!).

I had no idea you could make those foods in a coffee maker?! Also, I'll need to check out that short film! Good luck and welcome to adulthood! :)

  6. I cannot even remember the last time I slept until 10. Also, I can't stay up as late as I used to. I remember days when I barely slept 3 or 4 hours for several days at a time. That just isn't going to happen now.

  11. Good luck with the transition, I hope you settle into your job and enjoy it eventually. I will wear a super sparkly or large necklace on days where I don't feel like I'm dressed well enough and hope people only notice my necklace. It generally works.

I also can't sleep in on the weekends but I make up for it with some amazing naps if I have time. :)

  15. I still remember the transition where I really felt naive and nervous when I started my first job. But there's also excitement in not knowing, in realizing that there's SO MUCH to learn. So kudos to you! I hope you're able to grow in your job!

  16. God, I miss being a student full-time haha. I started working this year myself, so I know what you mean. And because recently I started working out early and going to bed early, I don't even know what it's like to sleep in. I haven't done that in months!
