Matte Green Gradient Nails featuring Revlon Matte Topcoat!

I think I somehow forgot to share this... but I shouldn't be surprised because I forget things often.

I've always wanted a matte topcoat and when I was doing some retail therapy once, I splurged on the Revlon Matte Topcoat. It was a few dollars more expensive than my normal polishes but I love it a ton!

I just put the topcoat over this white and green gradient. I find that the topcoat is great for any weird texture issues on your polishes. I pretty much want to use the topcoat ALL the time now, but I also want to save it. But you know when your nail polish is too old and it starts drying? I think I'm just going to start using it liberally now, because I'd rather use it up too fast than have it dry out on me!

  1. I like this! The gradient color is really nice, too. I don't know if it would change the properties of the top coat being matte, but Sally's Beauty sells some drops you can put in polish to help restore it when it's getting old and globby. I haven't thrown polish away in years, I just use a couple of drops as needed to thin out the texture again.

  5. I've not known of a matte top coat before but I guess it's worth checking out since it's suitable for textured surfaces. I'm always in awe of people who could do DIY gradient nails.

I haven't seen you around for a long time, aki. I'm glad you stopped by and that gives me a chance to reconnect with you.

I agree about the experiences being tied to a place. I'm sure if you had visited the right place, you would love Florence. For example, I felt Milan was really boring but I guess we had only a full day there to really appreciate the city.

  12. Your nails are SO pretty! I wish I had the patience to do something like this.

By the way, I find that my polish lasts longer if I turn it upside down and swirl it between my hands. My aunt (who owns a salon) taught me that. It may help!
