Featuring... Color Contrasts

I've been absolutely loving color contrasts for work clothes. This new love is the result of two factors. First, I have a ton of black and grey in my work wardrobe. Second, I love bright colors in the summer. These two factors just don't jive, so I've been wanting to add more color to work!
Featuring... Color Contrasts

While I really like this outfit, I'm not sure how I want to add more color to work yet. I think I'd totally rock this outfit if I worked in fashion or maybe advertising. But I have a relatively conservative (though laidback) office so I don't want to strut in feeling like Elle Woods.

What's a good way to incorporate some color into work wear without standing out?

  5. I don't think I would put these 2 colors together but they work really well. Will have to try this some time. Enjoy the rest of your week!

  6. I typically stick to greys, blacks, and whites too. To incorporate color into my outfit, I'll wear a statement necklace or a scarf. From time to time, I might do colored pants. If you want an easy way to add color, try a purse!

  7. heyy, as long as the outfit above won't break any office rule i think it's fine to wear 'em to work. show them your fashionista side! :)) or you can wear plain tops matched with printed bottom or vice versa. that would like a little more casual. :)

  10. I think switching them (salmon dress and navy blazer) errs a little more on the conservative side, so you could always try that first!

  11. I love, love, love that blue dress. Such a perfect color. I don't know if I would ever wear the salmon color, but it does look good together.

I like wearing an all black outfit and then accessorizing with pops of color. So I'll wear a bright scarf or jewelry and that always seems to be good.

    Always,

  13. I love a good colour clash, orange and purple or blue and pink.

i think it would be perfect for the office, not too in your face. even in a conservative office!

  14. I think that these 2 colours look great when you match them this way and I don't think it would stick out like a sore thumb. I personally love the monochrome black and white look for work especially with shift dresses. If your wardrobe is mainly monochrome, a pop of colour in accessorizing with a brightly coloured belt or outer wear would be good!

  17. I only wear one bright color at a time. I work in a pretty casual environment so I could probably wear your outfit above and no one would blink, except to ask what I'm all dressed up for ;).

Yay to a Legally Blonde reference!

  21. Oh my word, I love this combination! Coral is one of my favorites right now, but I'd never think of pairing it with cobalt. I think you should definitely rock this look. It doesn't seem too loud for a conservative office.

Thanks for your blog comments, by the way! I am still trying to get caught up on reading and responding.
