Link Up: The Young Working Woman Edition

I've probably expressed this thought countless times on this blog, but I'm concerned about my future as a woman. I'm not sure how to have it all... or if I want it all.

I'm not ambitious, and that's OK - A comforting article expressing how we don't have to be CEOs who plan and craft for our children's birthday parties and cook every night.

5 Ways to Eat Healthy When You're Busy - I love these tips and have tried all of them!

When You Should and Shouldn't Send an Email - The Daily Muse is my favorite work/career related website and I absolutely loved this article about email etiquette.

The 10 Best Cities for Professional Women - Thinking about moving? Perhaps you should try one of these cities!

  1. I've learned that there's no such thing as work-life "balance" because at any one time, something has to suffer be it work, life, or both. I've learned to accept that and make the most of the time I have. I've also luckily found a career where I can fulfill my "ambition" (enjoy work) and have plenty of family time. Good luck. You can do it!

  4. I'm the worst. I want it all but what I want most is what people tell me I can't have. Petulant, right?

  8. I'm not so busy as in working (well, the baby keeps me going non-stop) but I still try to have healthier snacks during the day.

  9. These are some great links. It's great to remember that we're only human, and perfection isn't needed. Nor is is any fun!

  10. I'm not sure you have to have it all, you should just make sure you have most of what you want. :) The last city on the list of cities for professional women was funny to me. I live about 1/2 hour from Worcester and it's not the best place to be in the state. Maybe it was included because it's a lower stress place than Boston. Have a great Thanksgiving!

  16. Thank you for posting these links, esp. that first one:) As women, we do face a lot of pressure to have it all: "a great mother/provider/everything else".It's ok to be mediocre, as long as we are happy where we are in life.:)

  18. The email tips is interesting! I've never heard of something like that before - but then again, I haven't worked in a corporate environment before either. Eating healthy on the go is so difficult for me, just because I tend to eat (and prepare) just meals and not quite snacks in between. I need to get back on snacking in between meals!
